Introduction

Hello, my name is Ada and this blog is part of my course 'Media Channels and Platforms' in TAMK, aka Tampere University of Applied Sciences. I will be posting every week here on my personal thoughts and feelings on media that I encounter each week and interact with. 

Here is a sketch I did for this introduction post. I was watching Youtube today and there was an art channel showing a technique to get the likeness of someone from a photo so I took a selfie of mine and tried it.

I added some shading which doesn't look that great since there is no value difference in the shadows but it was just training for me so I could remind myself how lay on the planes of a human face.

After laying the sketch on top of the original you can see that the eyes are pretty ok but the eyebrows are too high and lips too low as well as too small.
